“Integrity is the most valuable and respected quality of leadership. Always keep your word.”Brian Tracy
In this week’s episode, hosts Brandon Miller and Darren Virassammy dive into the 2nd of the 12 Manager Intelligence Skills – Integrity. Integrity builds trust in both times of certainty and uncertainty. It is a vital skill that goes beyond a core value, and can be developed.
Growing the skill of Integrity can build trust with your team and forms strong bonds. In this episode, you will learn how to grow this skill and get in touch with the areas you excel and those you can improve.
The Highs and Lows of the Integrity Skill
- High: I am honest and hard-working, I do not think I am better than anyone else on my team. I hold myself and my team accountable for my actions and admit when I am wrong.
- Low: I am dishonest and loyal only to myself, I manipulate others to get my way and hold others responsible for my actions.
1. How often do you set and keep appointments? Are you reliable with your calendar as often as possible?
2. Are you skilled at saying no, more than you say yes? You measure your commitments carefully and you know saying “yes” too often can over burden a team and lead to personal fatigue or burn out.
