Welcome to The Leading Strong Podcast hosted by 34 Strong Co-Founders Darren Virassammy and Brandon Miller. This episode aired on 08/26/20. You can listen to the Full Episode HERE.

In this week’s episode, hosts Brandon Miller and Darren Virassammy dive into the 1st of the 12 Manager Intelligence Skills – Individualize. They explain what this skill means and how you can invest in developing this skill. This is a skill that the Best Bosses have been able to hone, develop, and cultivate in the best of times and especially in the worst of times to create engagement on the team. We need to be able to individualize our approach to our team, because everyone reacts differently in a given situation, and has a unique perspective.

The Highs and Lows of the Individualize Skill

  • High: I value the contribution and needs of each team member. I customize my communication to fit each team members style of learning and development.
  • Low: One size fits all and I expect you to adapt to me.I place the needs of individuals over the needs of the group.
